Welcome to the inaugural Aloha Council Hike-A-Thon. This is a great way for Scouts & families to get out into the fresh air for exercise, the potential to earn a badge and raise money all to help Scouting. All funds received will go to support the local Scouting program.
When & Where: You choose. Any day between November 1 to November 30, 2022. The location is a pre-selected trail that your Troop chooses – It must be an approved trail. Please schedule your date and location with committee member Corey Yasuda (email@example.com) prior to your event.
What: You can have people sponsor the hikes per mile, per trail, or just sponsor you! By doing the hikes and gaining sponsorship, you are not only supporting the Aloha Council but also your individual Units. Units will earn a 50% commission.
Log Your Miles: By logging your miles, you have a chance to earn your Hiking Merit Badge or Rank up. You will also be entered into our 'Most Miles Hiked' Competition.
How: Send us a picture of you on the hike to get credit for participating in the event. There will be prizes for those who raise $250, $500, $750, $1,000, $1,500, and $2,500. By participating in the event, you will be entered into our competition for 'Most Money Raised' and 'Most Miles Hiked'. Registration fee is $25.00. This includes a Hike-A-Thon t-shirt and finisher medal. All monies will need to be collected and turned into the Aloha Council by December 2, 2022.
