The Onizuka Day of Exploration is Hawaii's largest STEM event. This one-day extravaganza of all things Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math is free and open to the public, making it a perfect, family-friendly day. Come and explore more than 100 fun and interactive booths and exhibits from Oahu's Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, Venturing Crews, and Exploring Posts.
Corporate and community supporters also provide an array of booths and activities.
Schedule of Events:
9:00 a.m. - Event opens to the public
9:30 a.m. - Special talk by Astronaut Hoshide Akihiko (Pikake Room)
10:45 a.m. - Special presentation by NOAA on the Hurricane Hunter (Pikake Room)
12:30 p.m. - Jedi Light Saber Training (Pikake Room)
3:00 p.m. - Event concludes
Information about joining Boy Scouts of America programs, which serve all young people ages 5-21, will be offered for those interested in learning more about one of the most popular and time-tested youth development programs in the United States.
Parking is available at the Blaisdell Center. More than 10,000 people attended in 2018, with more expected at this year's event.
