About Us:

Hiking through Waipio Valley. Learning about STEM at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Roasting marshmallows at Camp Honokaia. Clearing invasive plants from East Hawaii forests.

The Pukahi District of the Aloha Council, BSA serves boys and girls in East Hawaii. Our goal is to ensure that boys and girls have the chance to participate in our fun, hands-on learning and achievement programs that produce lifelong leaders.We serve more than 600 Scouts in East Hawaii and we are your friends, family, and neighbors!

Pukahi district is bordered on the west just before Hookena and to the south past Hawaiian Ocean View (South Point) just before Hookena. It includes the communities of: Hakalau, Hilo, Honomu, Kurtistown, Laupahoehoe, Mt. View, Naalehu, Ninole, Ocean View, Pahala, Pahoa, Papaaloa and Papaikou.

Our Key 3 team consists of Mavis Lum, District Associate; Peter Sur, District Chairperson; and Daina Noelani Saiki, District Commissioner.
