Sea Scouts

Adventure On The Water

A Co-ed Program for Young Men & Women Ages 14-20

Sea Scouting has a particular emphasis on boating and water-based activities for girls and boys ages 14 to 20. Sea Scouts may sail or cruise on boats, learn navigation, learn how to work on engines and compete in regional events.

Get your feet wet and learn first hand all about navigation, boating, and water safety. Cruise around the beautiful turquoise waters of Hawaii while making lifelong friendships at sea. Opportunities for growth and adventure abound when you join one of the Ships (Sea Scout units) in your area.

The Sea Scout Pillars

You will learn to model the four Sea Scout Pillars: Seamanship, Scouting, Service, and Social while out at sea. These pillars are the basis for your adventure on the water. You will master new skills with fellow shipmates and lead the way as you gain once-in-a-lifetime experiences while embodying the Scout Oath & Law. Sea Scouts is youth led, which means you and your shipmates will gain invaluable life skills and have the opportunity to explore the world on your annual cruise! Becoming a Sea Scout will also instill a sense of service as your ship participates in community service activities such as beach clean ups to do a Good Turn within your local community. Throughout all these experiences you will cultivate strong friendships and build memories to last a lifetime!
