Job Title: District Executive - Boy Scouts of America (Part-Time)

Position location: Kauai Island


Job Overview: The Boy Scouts of America is seeking a part-time District Executive to join our team on the Island of Kauai. The primary responsibilities for this position include fundraising, membership growth, and overseeing programs and activities within the district.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Fundraising:
    • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet or exceed district financial goals.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with local businesses, community leaders, and individuals to secure financial support.
    • Organize and execute fundraising events and campaigns.
  2. Membership Growth:
    • Collaborate with community organizations, schools, and other partners to promote Scouting and recruit new youth and adult members.
    • Develop and execute effective membership recruitment strategies.
    • Provide ongoing support and resources to units to retain and grow their membership.
  3. Programs and Activities:
    • Coordinate and promote district-wide Scouting programs and activities.
    • Collaborate with volunteers to ensure a diverse range of engaging and educational events.
    • Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.


  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in fundraising, community outreach, or sales is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Scouting principles and programs is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.


  • $25 per hour
  • 20-30 hours per week
