Scouting America, Aloha Council offers a small collection of group rental spaces in Nuuanu, on Oahu’s North Shore, and in Waihee, Maui. Our properties are best suited for groups seeking a rustic outdoor setting, simple amenities, and flexible spaces for learning, planning, and community gatherings. Facilities and comfort levels vary by site, and our team can help confirm what is available for your date.

Oahu
Camp Pupukea
Located above the North Shore in Haleiwa, Camp Pupukea is a 65-acre conservation property with an upland outdoor setting. The camp is a good fit for organizations, schools, and private groups looking for a rustic venue with open-air gathering space and access to nature.
Retreats and team outings
Camp Pupukea offers a change of setting for planning days, trainings, and group activities. Groups can use the lodge and open-air pavilions for workshops and take advantage of outdoor areas for structured activities.
School outdoor education
Camp Pupukea can support hands-on learning in an outdoor environment. Our layout works well for field trips, leadership programs, and multi-day school experiences. Restroom facilities are available onsite.
Private gatherings
Groups seeking a non-traditional outdoor venue can inquire about using the amphitheater and gathering areas for celebrations and reunions. Events are best suited for groups that are comfortable in a camp setting.
Youth organizations and nonprofits
We welcome youth-serving organizations and nonprofits for camps, trainings, and workshops, depending on availability.

Location and Logistics
Camp Pupukea sits in a cooler upland area above the North Shore. Parking is available onsite. Cell service and Wi-Fi may be limited depending on location and carrier. Our team will confirm site rules, available areas, and group suitability during booking.
Presidents Hall
Located at the Oahu Service Center in Nuuanu, Presidents Hall is an indoor venue suited for meetings, trainings, and small events. The space has been updated and includes basic A/V capabilities for presentations.
Architecture and Technology
The hall offers an updated indoor setting with built-in features that support meetings, trainings, and presentations.
- Room Features: High vaulted ceilings, timber framing, and a central stone fireplace create a welcoming space for groups.
- Technology: The hall supports presentations with Wi-Fi, large monitors, and a projector screen. Video conferencing is compatible based on your setup and device connections.
- Climate Control: Air conditioning is available for full-day sessions.

Your rental includes a full suite of furniture and equipment to streamline your event logistics:
- Furniture Inventory: Five 60″ round tables (8-person capacity), seven 6ft folding tables, and two 8ft folding tables.
- Presentation Tools: Professional lectern/podium and TV displays with dedicated HDMI connectivity.
- Logistics: On-site restrooms and a private parking lot. While weekday on-site parking is limited, overflow parking is available at the park across the street. Carpooling is recommended for large groups.

Camp Maluhia supports hands-on learning in an outdoor environment and can accommodate day trips and multi-day experiences. Lions Cabin and Cooks Cabin are often used for environmental science programs, leadership camps, and other youth development activities.
